It's entirely possible, but only once you really dig deep into the system.īeyond the "easy to learn/hard to master", there's a major social element to the game. Once you've taken on the Elite Four, you can always challenge your friends and learn the more complicated moves and combinations. Unlike more complicated RPGs, you're initially only given one 'character' to fight with, adding to a more gradual learning curve. This encourages you to learn the elemental weaknesses and strengths, most of which are fairly common sense (fire beats grass, water beats fire, etc.), as well as resource management (i.e. Brute force is possible, but only to a certain extent, as you aren't able to control a Pokemon of a certain level or higher without the proper badge. The game's main storyline introduces you to different types of Pokemon (Bug Gym, Fire Gym, Rock Gym, etc.) and forces you to come up with strategies to defeat them. It's important to note the RPG mechanics derived straight from Dragon Warrior and its ilk, but what's more pertinent is that they're initially presented in an easily digestible format. LeekDuck keeps a list of currently available shiny Pokémon. Where can I find a list of available shiny Pokémon? There are no consumable items that boost shiny Pokémon rates. Shiny Pokémon catch rates are set by developer Niantic, and they are typically only boosted during special events like Community Days or Safari Zones, or in Legendary Raids. While neither Blitzle nor Zebstrika, its evolution, are particularly meta Pokémon, you can use the candy transfer bonus to rake in extra candy for any rare Pokémon you may have. And yes, Blitzle can be shiny in Pokémon Go!
